Introduction and history.

I have been training since February 1990 in the traditional Japanese Art of Ju Jitsu.
I started my martial arts journey at Pendle Valley Ju Jitsu in Burnley, Lancashire under Sensei Allan Clarkin and then went on to train under Shihan Steven Baker when Satori Ryu Martial Arts was founded.
I graded to 4th Dan in Ju Jitsu and 1st Degree Black Belt in Kick Boxing under Shihan Steven Baker.

Over the years Steve and I have become good friends and travelled to train all over the UK and Europe to places as far afield as Prague and Athens, meeting many interesting people along the way (some of whom have now become very good friends).

Since 2001, I have been training in the Filipino Art of B3 Balintawak under Chief International Coach Richard Cotterill. Under Richard I have achieved Level 5 and I am the Instructor for the Central Scotland Group within Balintawak Combat System.

I consider myself very lucky that over the years, I have had the opportunity to travel all over the UK and Europe to train with many of the best Instructors and in the process, make many great friends.

I absolutely love teaching but I also continue to train and learn new things and hope to do so for many years to come.
